Trying to find the words. It is AFTD Awareness week I did this doodle when my husband Barry was losing his words.
One thing that kept my husband Barry occupied in the first years of FTD was filling the bird feeders. We went through a lot of seed but it was worth it because it was a job he could do and it made him feel proud and needed.
When My husband was diagnosed with FTD. This is the image I drew. It kind of shocked me when I was finished but it was devastating news for us.
I had never heard of FTD so when my husband Barry began to change I was irritated all the time. I did this drawing at that time. I knew something bad was happening but I didn’t know what.
How fun to come upon doodle number one. At least fourteen years ago my husband Barry suggested I start posting a doodle a day. What fun it has been and how much has happened since then!
